  • Experience a Truly Unique Adventure

Hike & Fly Fishing · Packraft River Descents · Mountain Lakes

Mountain fly fishing has something truly special about it.
It naturally connects fly fishing with adventure, in breathtaking landscapes where silence and wilderness reign — places where you can fully disconnect from everyday life.
This is how I love to experience fly fishing myself, and how I enjoy sharing these adventures with you: two days or more of total immersion, travelling light, fishing wild waters, and spending the night outdoors — under the stars, in a tent, or in a mountain refuge when exploring high-altitude lakes.
These adventures are designed for anglers in good physical condition, comfortable with outdoor activities, and driven by a genuine spirit of adventure.
They are not about comfort or performance alone, but about exploration, freedom and deep connection with wild rivers and mountains.

    Hike & Fly Fishing

Guaranteed escape — fully present in the moment

In our mountain valleys, some remote side valleys and tributaries can only be reached on foot, after several hours of hiking.
It is the price of this effort that grants access to crystal-clear mountain streams, preserved from fishing pressure, where only a handful of knowledgeable anglers — and sometimes no one at all — ever venture.
Here, fly fishing takes on a very special dimension.
Wild trout with stunning colours, often fished sight-casting, or rising confidently to a dry fly on a perfect drift.
To complete the experience, the magic of bivouac elevates the adventure even further, creating memories that stay with you long after the trip is over.
In short, this is the ideal experience to:
    live a truly exceptional moment,
offer a unique and meaningful gift,
or for experienced international anglers looking to discover the very best that Southern France has to offer.
All of this within easy reach — just 1 hour from Nice and 2.5 hours from Marseille.

Packraft / Rafting & Fly Fishing

A truly unique adventure in France

Well known in the United States and South America, this approach remains largely confidential in France. Yet when conditions align, the experience is incomparable — and the sense of adventure reaches another level.
Walking along a river already offers a powerful connection to nature.
But gliding on the water — like the trout themselves — is something else entirely.
Descending a river by packraft or raft reveals an incredible number of stunning fishing spots, discovered bend after bend, places that are simply unreachable on foot.
For these adventures, the rivers explored include:
    the Tinée River,
    the Ubaye River,
    and the spectacular Daluis Gorges.
Naturally, water levels must be optimal for both safe navigation and quality fishing. This makes these trips rare — but all the more exceptional.
As a pioneer of this practice in France, which I have developed through years of personal exploration, my goal is to further expand these adventures in the future — on iconic rivers such as the Pyrenean Gaves, the Allier, the Tarn, and ultimately through expeditions in Patagonia 🙂

    Who is this adventure for?
This experience is designed for those who:
already have some fishing experience (though expert level is not required),
want to learn how to navigate safely on rivers,
wish to experience the magic of bivouac,
and discover the full potential of the packraft — an ultra-light inflatable kayak, compact like a sleeping bag, offering true autonomy once the adventure is over.
In short, this is a perfect gift idea or an unforgettable experience for anyone with a true spirit of adventure.

    Mountain Lakes

Gain altitude and experience fly fishing like nowhere else

In our Alpine territory, the mountain lake season usually begins on the first day of summer.
I favour this type of fishing either early in the season, or late in the year, when autumn gradually paints the landscape in warm colours and the lakes regain the calm and serenity that define them.
This is the most “zen” adventure I offer — a deeply soothing and immersive experience.
    It is ideal for:
    contemplative anglers,
lovers of silence and wide-open spaces,
those who enjoy discreet and technical approaches when fishing becomes more demanding,
and anglers who appreciate long casts and the rhythm of a double haul, letting the fly line fully unfold across open water.
Finally, this experience is also perfect for beginners wishing to discover fly fishing and learn its iconic cast in an exceptional setting.
It also makes a wonderful gift for a special occasion, and offers the rare opportunity to fish for wild salmonids with a fly until the end of October.

    Adventure Details & Pricing

The adventure truly begins when the river no longer belongs to anyone

The adventures presented above reflect what I personally practise with passion.
Offering them in a professional guiding framework represents a real challenge, requiring careful planning, safety management and adaptability.
That said, it was important to me to make these experiences accessible, because many anglers simply don’t realise how much more intense and meaningful fly fishing becomes when combined with true adventure.
It is, quite simply, the purest expression of what fly fishing in wild environments can offer.

    Group Size & Philosophy
As with all my guiding services, and in order to maintain a high level of quality and safety, these adventures are limited to a maximum of two participants.

    What’s Included / What’s Not
For all adventure trips, fly fishing equipment only is included, such as:
    rods and essential tackle,
    flies,
    basic wader support if needed.
Participants are therefore required to bring:
their meals (grocery shopping can be organised if needed),
    their fishing licence.
Any specific adventure equipment (packraft, safety gear, bivouac equipment, etc.), if you do not already own it, can be rented.
