“Sam Sufy” Fly Fishing Cabin – Tinée Valley
Your fly fishing cabin in Roubion
« Sam Sufy » is a personal reference to my grandparents’ house on the Costa Brava, in a small fishing village. It later became the family holiday home — a place shared by uncles, aunts and cousins — and above all the setting of my fondest childhood memories as a young angler, eagerly waiting each year for those precious summer weeks by the water.
Here, the atmosphere is very different. We leave the seaside behind (while still remaining relatively close) and head into the mountains, at 1,300 metres above sea level, at the foot of a cliff, in one of the most beautiful perched villages of the Nice hinterland: Roubion.
This small mountain cabin, a carefully restored former barn, is quite simply my home.
Simple yet comfortable, it accommodates up to two people and offers stunning views over the Vionène Valley, which later joins the Tinée River.
Located just 1 hour and 15 minutes from Nice Airport, the cabin benefits from exceptional fly fishing potential, with rivers accessible only minutes away.

Accommodation options
The cabin is offered primarily as part of fly fishing courses or guided stays of two days or more.
You may:
privatise the entire cabin, or
if travelling solo, rent a single room, a more economical option.
Regarding meals, several options are possible:
self-catering,
dining at one of the two restaurants in the village,
or meals prepared by a local caterer.
During your stay, you may also choose to book only one day of guiding, then fish independently on the following days. This allows for a relaxed holiday week and, if travelling as a pair, an opportunity to share costs while enjoying exceptional fishing.
Everything is flexible, and I will be happy to design a fully personalised stay according to your wishes.
Rates
€50 per night for one person
€90 per night for two people
Rates become progressively lower for longer stays
(for example: €500 for 7 nights).
For solo bookings, I will also be present in the house.
If you wish to enjoy the cabin entirely on your own, full privatisation is possible — in this case, the applicable rate is the two-person price.
“Esprit Rivières” Camp – Ubaye Valley
A unique experience for adventurous spirits
Set on the banks of the Ubaye River, this off-grid riverside camp is the base of my whitewater company, Raft’Ubaye.
Here, I offer multi-day immersive adventures built around exploration and simplicity, combining fly fishing, river navigation (rafting or packraft) and time spent deep in nature.
From the camp, we explore the Ubaye River and its tributaries, fully embracing the spirit of a nature-based stay and true bivouac living.
The camp includes:
a high-quality Nordic tipi equipped with a wood-burning stove,
dry toilets,
a solar-heated spring-water shower,
a small kitchen chalet,
riverside relaxation areas with hammocks.
Important information
This camp is not an accommodation in the traditional sense, but a genuine bivouac-style base camp, designed for adventure-focused experiences and outdoor immersion.
If you are looking for a more comfortable or cosy place to stay, many options are available nearby (campsites, guesthouses, mountain huts, hotels). I will of course be happy to recommend the best addresses according to your preferences.
